Deals Rummy

In deals rummy, you start with pre-allocated chips at the beginning of the deal, for a pre-decided number of deals. One winner wins all the chips at the end of each deal. At the end of a pre-decided number of deals, the player with the maximum number of chips is the winner for the rummy game. Simple, isn’t it? So, let’s move ahead with the formats of deals rummy. Highlights/Rules

    Best of 2 Deals is played between 2 players with one or more decks of cards. A total of 160 chips are given out to each player at the start of the game and you join a table by paying a fixed entry fee. You win a game when you make at least 2 sequences, one of which has to be a pure sequence, and group your remaining cards into sets or sequences and declare before your opponent does. The amount of chips you win depends upon how many points your opponent has when you declare. The same rules apply to you when you lose.

    Best of 3 Deals has a total of 6 players with each player getting 240 chips at the start of the game. The rest of the format remains the same as best of 2 deals rummy. The first to declare and show a valid group of cards wins the deal.

    Each player needs to bring a minimum amount of cash to the game, and chips are distributed to all the players equally as follows:

    • In Best of 2 Deals games, 160 chips are distributed to each player (2 x 80)
    • In Best of 2 Deals games 240 chips are distributed to each player (3 x 80)

    Each player joins a Deal Rummy table by paying a fixed entry fee.

    Each game has multiple deals. Best of 2 Deals have 2 deals while best of 3 deals have 3 deals.

    The player who fulfils the rummy objective (includes 1 pure sequence and another pure/impure sequence) first can call for a show and At the end of every deal, the winner will win chips from losing players depending on their score.

    The other players are assigned points based on the cards in their hand as per the points calculation which is as follows

    Drop is not allowed in this format of the game and the wrong show is 80 Points.

    In case of a tie after all rounds, there will be a tie breaker round.

    Player with the most score at the end of a pre-decided number of deals is declared the winner.

    At the end of the game, a losing player’s hand score is computed by adding points for cards that are not grouped as sets/sequences with the following exceptions.

    • If the losing player has no pure sequence, all cards are counted.
    • If the losing player does not have two sequences but has a pure sequence, only the pure sequence is not counted.

    At the end of a deals rummy game, the winning amount is calculated as follows:

    Winnings =(Entry Fee) X (Number of Players) – Playship fees

    Example : Let’s say 2 players join a game with a Rs 100 entry fee. The prize pool for this game will be Rs 100*2 – Playship fees
